I edit and proofread your German texts with regard to style, coherence and spelling. Additionally, I compare the translated text to its English original to ensure accuracy and precision.

The types of texts are numerous: advertising, brochures, manuals, newsletters, press articles, software strings, websites, etc.
 

English-German Translations

As a translator I specialize in the fields IT and software, as well as in HR matters and travel/tourism. Other topics include consumer goods, trainings and finance. Here too, the types of texts and file formats (.doc, .xls, .ppt, .html, .xml as well as .ass, .srt, .sub, .txt [for subtitling/closed caption] etc.) are numerous.

To achieve a high consistency within longer texts or in ongoing projects I use a TM (Translation Memory) tool, and if required I’ll build a glossary. The use of this software helps ensure the efficiency of the translation process.

Extra: Do you have a large text in English that you’d like to have or distribute as an abstract in German? I’ll create a summary directly in German, based on the original text.

Rates and Payment

Rates depend on the type of text, as well as the topic and length. There is no minimum order value, but if the total invoice amount is less than 100 euro an additional charge for transfer fees may apply. Payment can be made through a bank transfer or via the Internet (i.e. PayPal or Moneybookers).
